Project 1: Collage Design & Digital Imaging
REFLECTION
I enjoy doing collages, both physical and digital. I love the process of
finding pieces from magazines, newspapers, and cardboard and turning them into
a unique piece of art. Experimenting with different compositions is always a
valuable experience. Before starting this project, I also enjoyed journaling,
keeping a book to record fun moments, express my feelings, and decorate it
with various elements like a creativity diary.
I am quite satisfied with my final physical collage! However, I think my
digital collage could be made better. After seeing my classmates' creative
works, I realized that mine could use more creativity and filters. Still, it
was an interesting experience to create a space using the provided elements.
I've learned that a good composition truly makes a good design!
I learned a lot of Photoshop skills and techniques for this project. I especially enjoyed Project 1B, the recoloring black and white exercise, where I could add any colors I liked, it was super fun! The Hearst Mansion exercise also taught me how to use many different tools in Photoshop that I had never tried before. I am slowly becoming more familiar with the tools and functions in Photoshop.
