DIGITAL SURREALISM 

Realism Versus Surrealism

1. The concept of Realism & Surrealism 

What is Realism? 

  • Reality.
  • It almost always takes a non-exotic and non-extraordinary subject matter and theme. 
  • No need to think outside of the box, as that is not 'real.'
What is Surrealism?
  • A twist on Realism. 
  • Explores the subconscious mind, with subject matters concentrating on dream-images and often aims to distort the ordinary and what we call reality.

Mr. Fauzi provided a tutorial video on how to create loop animation for I.G (Instagram) stories.

PRACTICAL

In week 9, we continued working on Project 2. Since the project was due this week, I consulted with Mr. Fauzi and showed him my artwork. He pointed out a few corrections and suggested that I adjust the shadow of my orange. Once that was fixed, everything else was good to go.

Other than that, Mr. Fauzi also briefed us on the final project. He showed us several excellent artworks created by our seniors as references. He also gave us a recap of all projects we completed this semester!
